The fire broke out at 365 Cleveland Ave. around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, according to initial and unconfirmed reports.

Additional crews were called to the scene as the third floor was found to be heavily involved, upgrading the fire to a second and later a third alarm, the initial report says.

Meanwhile, EMS crews were called to evaluate three firefighters — one who was hurt in a collapse, and two others for unknown reasons, according to the initial report.

Ambulances were later called to take two additional firefighters to the hospital, the report says.

The fire was placed under control as the overhaul began around 1:35 p.m.
